Eddie Nketiah weighing Ghana switch after fresh Black Stars approach
Eddie Nketiah is considering a fresh approach from Ghana over a possible switch of international allegiance, according to GOAL's report citing the Evening Standard.
The Crystal Palace forward has started the season regularly after a difficult period affected by injuries. GOAL reports that Ghana have made a new offer in an effort to convince the 27-year-old to represent the Black Stars.
Nketiah was born in Lewisham to Ghanaian parents and represented England throughout his youth career. He also holds one senior England cap, earned in a friendly against Australia at Wembley in October 2023.
Because of that limited senior involvement, FIFA's eligibility rules leave Nketiah able to switch allegiance, according to the report. The striker has not yet made a final decision.
A move would give Ghana another player with Premier League experience as the Black Stars continue to develop their squad. Nketiah's recent run of starts for Palace also means his international future is attracting attention at an important stage of his club career.
